For me it WILL be happy indeed... first year I won't be cooking!!
All in the family are going somewhere else and I've been invited to go to my extended family (next door) where I won't need to cook but volunteered to be the bartender.
Some of you have no idea how much stress it puts on your cooking person(s) trying to make everybody happy and dealing with everyone's preferences and allergies, tastes and plain 'brattiness'. In my family I am that person... and last year went over the rim... I promised myself to send them all this year to eat...er...turkey...somewhere else... I'll see if next year I'm in the mood to cook again.
So besides the regular Thanks... don't forget to give the compliments to the chef whoever that might be and those putting together the reunion!
