I've taught what I terrmed off-line principle. Which is similar to the video with some minor differences in tactics. It my case I've developed it for unarmed vs unarmed, unarmed vs armed (knife), unarmed vs armed (gun), as well as armed vs armed.
In my case I teach to do it from the beginning. In other words never stand in front of someone head on. Always cut their body in half. In my case I always stand a half a step away from their strong hand. It gives you a better reactionary distance. You'd be surprised how people don't even realize your're doing it.
Good video and good start. A lot can be built upon that, I think.
