Default Bummer!

Went to the Range yesterday, and took along my Guardian 9mm. As I was about to put it away, I noticed the grips were falling apart on both sides. This is the third set of Sarge's grips that have broken on me. They crack and fall apart on the screw holes. I don't know if I'm over or under tightening them, but I can't afford this any more.

I would say over. Go to tool town on 99 in kent/federal way area, pick up a O-ring kit. it has O-rings the correct size for grip screws. Then just tighten it till they are just flush. the o-rings keep the the grip screws from backing out.

I don't overtighten either and I had one set break on me. Sarge repaired them and all it cost me was $5 to ship them to him.

I had a set break two years ago and Ryan replaced them at no charge. His customer service is outstanding. Ryan is just a very good guy, he's helped me out with some other problems as well.

Well, in my disappointment I tossed the pieces in the garbage can.

I have had my grips loosen while shooting. After reading a tip, went to Ace Hardware and bought # 60 and #61 o-rings. They solved my problem.
