Default Metro Arms 1911

Folks, I'm considering a trade of my Glock 30 (with extra gear) for this gun and cash. Honestly, I'd never heard of Metro prior to this week and am simply interested in acquiring good 1911's. I haven't been able to find much online about these guns or their values. I'd appreciate any info to help me make an informed decision. Here's a link to the ad on another site:

Thanks for taking the time to look!

IMHO before you buy it or trade for it, look down the barrel, and also cycle the slide, also ask when he bought it............

Thanks . He says he bought it in 2011 and barely shot it. I can do a visual inspection and try the controls but that still won't tell me if Metro makes a good gun or not. I'm still too new to 1911's to notice all the little things. For me to pursue this, I'd want to know that Metro is as good or better than RIA. Is that a reasonable/knowable way to approach it?

Check this out: http://metroarms.net/ and they only have a 1 year warranty, RIA has a Life Time Warranty.

Nah, I'm good here on COTEP.....man of my word.

Work backfired yesterday, instead of a day off the wife unit had to work a double. No coverage showed up. Woulda been fun, I really enjoy training with Bob. Old Marines are always fun with discipline.
Well, now she has more mooola for my birthday present.

I agree with , sell the g30 and buy a RIA instead. I have one up for sale on that "other" forum that is a great shooter but, its not a rock.
