Default DW ECO 9mm

I have a question for any of you that may have a ECO in 9 mm. I am thinking about picking one up just because I don't have a 1911 in that caliber.
I'm sure that I would be happy with one but is it set up only for full power loads or will it function with reduced power range loads. My shooting buddy just picked up a Kimber Ultra AegisII and it is a nice gun but the recoil spring is to stout for his plinking handloads which consist of a 105 grain lead semi wadcutter at about .850 fps, These loads shoot perfectly in my S&W 3914 and are like shooting 148 gr. wadcutter target loads out of a 38 . They are very accurate and cuts a clean hole in the targets
I recently got rid of a Springfield EMP in 9mm because I do not care for a ambi. safety and the gun had too many sharp edges for comfortable carry. How is the ECO in that respect? I will use it for a CCW from time to time but I mainly want it for a fun gun and will be shooting mostly reloads through it. I have never been able to see one in person and there is no local dealers that will bring one in for me to check it out unless I commit to the purchase.
I have researched the model as much as possible but ant input from someone how actually has one would be greatly appreciated.

I don't own one but I've heard real good things about them, but, I'm not sure on your reduced power load question. I would give Dave a call and pick his brain on that one, he can be hard to get a hold of at times though. He's showing he has (1) in stock also ?? .... pricing unknown ??

Thanks,
Great advice I will give him a call, I'm already 90% sure I want to make the jump but it is a fair amount of money to gamble with so I want to do a little more homework.

I'm the same way and had the same issue as you do, wanted to purchase a DW CCO but no one in my area had one to get my hands on, finally came across a used one I could check out and that's all I needed, already knowing I would go through Dave for the purchase ... great guy and a pleasure to work with. I haven't received it yet as I'm having him do a couple of things to it prior to shipping it out, or I would of had it already.

I have no low voltage rounds experience but my 9MM ECO is a great little EDC gun. Faultless out of the box, surprisingly accurate and vey quickly back on target. It just feels right in my hands and it has an excellent trigger. The recoil spring is flat and very smooth. It is a good place to start if working on reduced power loads for some reason.

Thanks for the input so far Guys, I called and spoke with Dave this morning and he told me that he believed it would work fine with the loads I talked to him about. I called the dealer that I bought my C-Bob from to see if he had an ECO 9mm in stock but he ordered one after we spoke and said it should be here Friday and even if I decided to pass he knows he could still sell it. His shop is located an hour away but at least I will be able to fondle one and complete the adoption

Default Shoot 50, clean, repeat!

I wonder if the ECO comes with the same break in advise as my CCO?
