Thumbs down No way I can buy this!

http://wilsoncombat.com/new/benefit-...eid=16bfb16467
I don't know ANYONE that would buy this. Nice? Yes, but $18,000.00 and going UP? NO!
I understand helping a Brother at Wilson, but come on, Bill Wilson has got money, I bet on it .

10-4. Good people with real means are stepping up to support this effort. There is a real synergy here between employer, fellow employees and those who appreciate what they do. If I may, the Wilson Combat Family. It is good to see.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people will pay $1800 for a pistol with an ugly trigger, I won't mention which one at this time, it'll show up here on the forum later this year.

This is an auction for a pistol for a great cause, congrats to the winning bidder.

it's a beautiful pistol! but for something of that quality they should have gone with Elephant or Mammoth ivory for the grips, that walnut's pretty but too plain for that pistol.

I agree. What I said is the truth, I would not and can not afford an $18000.00 1911, And I do not know anyone who could or would, it IS for a good cause, it takes MONTHS (Many) for me to save enough to get an $1800.00 Pistol.
Wilson Combat is a Great Company with Great Employees. Glad they can do this. Somebody with Very Deep Pockets will get the Fine Pistol They Built.
By the way, what is wrong with the trigger on this?

Now how did you know I was talking about that gun???

I'm just messing with ya dw. Seeing if you were gonna bite at my post and ya did.

As far as the trigger goes, there's just something about it that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's the fact they tried to fit an "hour glass" figure in it? It's just weird to me.

Can't wait to see you get yours though.

Yeah, for $18000.00 the grips should be Mammoth Ivory with Solid 24 kt Gold medallions! And, the engraving should be all in gold leaf! The front sight should have a solid gold bead too!

I do pay attention . I knew what gun you were referring to. Personally, I like it because it's different than the usual Dan Wesson Triggers.
Glad you "Messed with Me" though! I Like It!
