Default Got a sweet 10/22 for a ammo trade

Its a SS 10/22 break down with a leupold VR-1 scope and its just beautiful. I have been slowly collecting 22lr and now I am going to have to make a run to the range. Scope is not sighted in so that will have to be done. Need to work with my stock 10/22 before moving on to this one, but still will be a fun day. Can't believe the difference between the 2 sitting next to each other.

This worked out great because I wanted to be able to pass the wood 10/22 down to the daughter.

I need to start working on my rifle skills and a thanks to santa for bringing me Gift Certificate to OSS. No excuses now.

The Takedown is one of the most sensible .22 rifles I have shot. Great gun, Congrats.

Nice. I have not been paying attention. I really like that one. When I was a teenage kid my mom had a semi auto Ruger 44 mag, big brother to the 10/22. I loved that rifle. What a fun gun. I really like the take down feature. I believe there is a pack for carry for it down. Going to check it out.

Dave, I have the TD in blued threaded version. I'm using a Nikon prostaff rimfire 3-9x40 BDC 150. Awesome scope BUT. .. I can't store the gun taken down in the bag without removing scope. Zero is not affected that much but it's an inconvenience for me. Hence why the red dot seems to be more at home on the ruger.

Can you take the rifle down, leave the scope on and pack it in its bag?
