No freeman shall be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson
“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” Thomas Jefferson

I really find it hard to comprehend that in some places one can vote without showing proper ID, here, every since I was able to vote, one has to fill out the card and at the very least present their drivers license, now they scan the DL and have for quite some time now, and then one's able to vote, whether it's for a local or national election.

A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.

At my precinct they always check ID and compare my signature to the one on file. Not sure what would happen if I told them I had no ID, and just to take my word for who I am?

Back in California, it was always just sign next to your name in the book of registered voters. No Id, nothing. Interestingly, even after 15 years, they still had the previous owner of the house listed as a registered voter at my address.

Up here in WA, my county is 100% mail voting, so I suppose that may be even worse.

That's how it was in the PRNJ. Still is, except that the "book" pages are now computer generated. You must still sign it, though.

Here in FL, you must provide a govt. issued ID which is then scanned by a machine. It actually then prints the ballot on the spot, via a laser printer.

I'm younger then most and this was the first election I voted in. I was absolutely amazed you don't need to show anything to vote in new jersey

this signature exceeds the 15 character capacity count

Well, when you're illegal, you can't get an ID. That's not fair!

I hope we can now get rid of this crap!!
