Trigger Job for my Springer

A while back, I bought a Springfield Mil-Spec Government sized 1911 - specifically with the idea of using it to learn more about DIY gun smithing and tinkering. Last Christmas, Santa gave me a bunch of Ed Brown parts to start my upgrade (Beavertail GS, sear, disconnector, sear spring, trigger, hammer, hammer strut).

I finally got around to fitting the grip safety, and finished putting it all together last night. Well, almost finished, I still need to finish blending the grip safety.

I was a bit nervous tackling this, but what the heck - I'm moderately handy. Went to the range with her today, and I have to say I'm very pleased with the results. The factory trigger was mushy - now its nice and crisp with a nice short travel.

Now, I've got a hankering to checker the front strap. Is there any end to this addiction?
