Hey there, new member in Orlando. I have more 1911's than brains:
SS Valor Wilson Xtac Ed Brown LW Kobra Carry Colt New Agent Colt 80 series SS Colt 1999 US Military Academy Stainless Commander Capsian 10mm full size .460 Rowland full size conversion Colt 80 series full size Caspian titanium frame, NOS Colt officer slide/bbl Fusion Commander w/rail Ruger Commander Colt Wiley Clapp LW Commander Springfield 9mm Commander size Springfield compact Sig C3 w/ ct grips Gold Cup .22 maybe a couple more I can't think of, oh yes Detonics SS compact too. I'm just happy to join a group that understands the addiction. I began shooting 1911's in US Army as MP then Crim Invest, then as LEO. I medically retired from Army then just medically retired as lawyer for 30 years after bad result from cervical fusion. I was attached to marksmanship unit after sniper school and got as much ammo as I needed. Funny, I've gone full circle having searched for the perfect carry pistol high and low and I keep coming back to the old slabsides. I also have a Bren Ten in .45 ACP, unfired, one of 250 that's pretty cool just sitting there in the safe. I look forward to being part of a like minded group, most of my friends don't understand. Most of the lawyers I know are wimps and I tend to hang with gun guys and offshore fishermen. My wife carries a CW9 and actually does better with my New Agent .45 with CT grips, so I guess it's hers now. Funny, she wanted to buy me a gift (I'm hard to buy for) and she went on a website and inquired as to the availability of the Singer 1911 she heard me speak about. When she found they cost the same as a new house, she gave up! Thanks for having me. |
