Glad to be in great company

Hello folks,

My name is , and I owe a great deal of my gun experiences to growing up around them as my Grandfather had quite the vast collection.

Once I got older and were able to afford some of my own, I got into mostly rifles due to my location at the time... (MA ) but did eventually get a pistol permit there, but they would not issue for personal protection, only "target and hunting" which I found as it was illegal in MA to hunt with a handgun at all.

Due to the various restrictions, and the birth of my oldest Son, I sold all my rifles and handguns and did not obtain anything new until almost 20 years later when I moved to FL.

I had two 1911's at one time, but had to sell one (Colt XSE lightweight Commander model) to meet some financial obligations. The handguns I have now between my Wife and I are mostly Sig's:
Sig P238
Sig P938
Sig 1911 Carry in Stainless
Ruger SR22

I'd love to start a nice 1911 collection and someday obtain a nice Wilson, Les Baer, DW, Ed Brown, etc. but any and all handguns make me smile!

I carry the 1911 daily, sometimes using the P938 as a weak side BUG in the pocket. When going lighter it sometimes is just the P938 in the strong side front pocket (properly holstered) or in an IWB holster at 3 o'clock.

A good friend on another gun forum recommended this place, and after poking around some, I can tell its good to be in such great company! ( Thanks Pig ! )
