Blanca, once upon a time in a galaxy far far away COTEP was a sub-sub invitation forum. It was a Dan Wesson sub forum on the 1911 forum. There are a lot of Dan Wesson fan boys around here. Just a heads up we don't use the K word around here, they are referred to as Mimbers.

But I do have two Colt Commanders and a bunch of Hks.

Yes, but they were once much less expensive than that. The current VBOB is like an upgraded CBOB. Here is a VBOB on Gun Broker with a starting price $460 less than that CBOB:

I don't want to pay a hefty premium for what is basically a collector's item.

Understood. I only posted that to see if it was what you all were talking about.
The one I linked is a seller which seems to actually be only miles from me?

Given time I could find one for less. I have strong googlefu....
