There was another face eating case a few years ago. I think flakka or bath salts were suspected as well. It's not just Florida, there was a story about it in NYC with a bunch of zombies taken to the hospital.
I have had my experience with substances that change your mood but when the effects are so well known down here it really makes you wonder what is going through a persons mind when they say "okay, I'll smoke this stuff that will turn me into a raging zombie that will try to eat someone's face". Of course it was the same kind of person to drink Windex, antifreeze, and mix NyQuil with Batteries, bleach and paint thinner and say, gee that looks tasty!
