Not to rain on your parade, but with readily available 458 Socom uppers and the fact that you can still use a standard AR mag, to me this is like trying to fit into a Smart Car.

Well got together with the consortium this afternoon…
The consensus; yep it’s cute, but limited in capacity and functionality. With the M/T I gotta by the upper $$, then unless I’m willing to kill a 1911 (which I’m NOT) I’m gonna cough up another 3 to 4 bills to by a slave frame. In it for a grand and I haven’t even started tweaking on it yet.

The AR platform would appear to be much more versatile and several pretty cool tweaks and options for the AR45 got tossed on the table to explore. Including and cutaway revamp of the mag well to use an unmodified 30 rnd grease gun mag. And a new upper builder with a low profile blowback operated mono block quad rail in 10, 12 and 16 inch barrels for 400 bucks! Couple this with my current pile of 80% lower bricks to cut on and already have a ton of giblets for tweaking.
I’m pretty solidly back in the AR corner.
I guess I just got a case of OOOoooo look at them that’s a nice pair…
Back to work on a stealth 30 rounder AR45 SRB. The new question on the table, wet or dry?

Which is more effective in a multi round mode?
Thanks for listening.
