A few years ago a company in the
![]() This is a compact .45; the shop I bought it from is in Las Vegas - I probably have bought 6 Rock Islands from them so they surprised me with the custom laser engraved stocks! They were a stocking dealer and would take RIA Pistols to gun shows and after 3-4 gun shows they would put the firing pins back in them and sell them for a good discounted price. RIA treats them as a "new" gun so they are covered by the factory warranty. ![]()

Traveling yesterday so I didn’t post anything.
Here’s a Colt 1901 in .38 Colt aka .38 Long Colt, a rather anemic round. It was instrumental in helping to usher in the .45 acp. The ammo is period correct from the Frankfort Arsenal. ![]()
