I've been loading XTP's for self defense. When I get my chrono I'll see where I'm at. Seems like the XTP has pretty decent expansion.

Yes Lane, it did expand very well but, the jacket-separation troubles me. I want the jacket peeling back and forming a bunch of little knives that cut and cause extra trauma, not peeling off of the lead. While a 190grain at .732 is good, it's still losing 40 grains of weight that should, in a well-constructed bullet, stay there.

I have good luck with the ranger t series. Going to order some more here soon I'll have to post one of these for myself on that brand.

Rumor has it that the Black Talons were renamed SXT which stand for Same Exact Thing!

They are! Have a Box of the Black Talons and except for the color,they're the same. AAMOF, the Black Talons are marked SXT on the box.




I'll take a better photo of the SXTs.
