There are three dead, an 8 year old boy, a 26 year old woman and an un-named person whose family hasn't been notified, because he/she was beyond recognition. As of last night it is being said that it is a Boston Uniniversity graduate student of Chinese decent. There were over 170 caualties. They had a Saudi foreign student being investigated at the hospital (he sustained injuries) as a person of interest, but that has since been dropped. They shook down his apartment in Revere, Ma., which he shared with two other Saudi's, and authorities removed items from the apartment, after which they dropped him as a suspect. FBI had received over 2,000 tips, videos and info as of noon yesterday. They determined it was a pressure cooker device, commonly used in the Middle East as IED's. According to the surgeons at the hospitals that handled the trauma cases, many lives were saved by the quick action of by-standers who used improvised tourniquets as well as the skills used by the many EMT's and police who were already on hand.

I sincerely hope, if and when the perpetrator of this crime is caught, that since there is no death penalty in Massachusetts, street justice will prevail, saving us from years of trials, appeals and all the bleeding hearts who'll find excuses for this atrocious act.
