The Spikes lower should work out nicely for your build.

If you leave the upper as it came from BCM, the only tools you'll likely need to acquire is a spanner wrench or AR-15 armorer's tool to tighten the castle nut. I also recommend Brownell's bolt catch pin punch, as it makes it quite simple to install the pin.

I 2nd the recommendation for JP's fire control groups. I've been running a couple of them for years, and have been supremely happy.

The lower parts kit will include both the bolt stop and mag release, and the Spike's kit should work fine. My recent kits were from G&R Tactical and Palmetto State, and they were both of apparently equal quality.......PSA was cheaper.

If you decide on the SOPMOD:
I'm not sure if it was a fluke, but SOPMODs fit so tightly on my BCM buffer tube that sliding from position to position takes considerable effort (yet still wiggles a little once into position). The SOPMOD works well on Vltor's tube, and I happen to appreciate the position number markings. Naturally, LMT's should work very nicely.

I've been considering Magpul's ACS for an upcoming PSA build, but may just get another SOPMOD or E-Mod.

I look forward to your progress.

Thanks for the info , i think i'm going to get the enhanced lower kit from spike's it has the anti-rotation pins and a ST battle trigger also comes with a ergo grip, that will be a good start then later put the FDE furniture on, i have a Sopmod on my Bushy now and i really like it, but if it is that tight on the BCM then i'll go with Magpul, i like the Wilson and Timney because they are drop ins.

Man this build is going to get the best of me i can see that now, i can't find just the detents, plungers and springs without the grip, trigger coming with it.

My wife is already fed up with me, i've been locked up in my gun room for 2 days.

If you decide to use anti-walk pins you can get them in flat dark earth. http://www.knsprecisioninc.com/gen-2...am-pins-1.html
Spikes used to include them and the Ergo grip in FDE if requested, as part of their enhanced lower kit.

I don't think you can go wrong with either of the trigger sets that you mentioned. I put a drop in kit in my AR and certainly appreciated the drop-in ability. Also, the enhanced kit from Spike's seems to be a good choice as well. If you do go this route be sure to let us know what you think about it.

Magpul is coming out with a couple variations on their popular stocks. They are the ACS-L and the STR.

I'm going with the STR for the large amount of cheek weld real estate.

What other plans do you have for the build?

Barrel, quad rail, upper, etc??

UPDATE: Received the Spike's lower kit and started installing parts, everything went smooth until the pivot pin trying to press the spring and detent while pushing the pivot pin in turned out to be a pain,So after a 2 hour search for the spring and detent and a few countdown to 10 i did it i got the SOB in there.

The 2 hour search was due to the spring and detent flying off and hiding
