Default DW Custom Shop Kudos

After speaking with Keith and Glenn and going through the online RMA process, I sent my VBob slide and barrel into the Custom Shop for a reverse flush cut on the barrel and a monogramed plug and EGW bushing. Imagine my surprise when it came in today's mail; only ten days after I sent the slide and barrel in. Very well done Dan Wesson.

OK ...
Just wondering, did you go with the 45* crown cut and, I've seen 2-3 different styles of the 'DW' spring plug monogramming so far. Did you go with the EGW straight bored or angle bored bushing on yours?

I believe that the barrel is cut at 45 degrees and the bushing is angle bored.

Putting the VBob together, trying to line up the ledge on the DW Plug with the very tight EGW bushing, has been a two day chore (some arthritis in hands). I finally got it together, but the DW is a fraction skewed and the "ledge" is not quite right. However, it cycles and I am tired chasing the plug around the basement.

However, it cycles and I am tired chasing the plug around the basement. QUOTE- MajO

I am exhausted from similar at home rocket launchings of the 1.5" guide rod out of the reverse plug WC Spec-Ops 9. My first exposure, and I still like the appearance but so far the only things I have missed in the shop are my TV and Miss Penelope. I have been practicing every day to become proficient. So far I have one knuckle bunged up at the base of my right thumb from a direct hit at the range of about 1.6 inches and a giant red splotch on the back of my right hand where a ricochet off my bench vise wacked me. I think my problem is that the recoil spring is not only stronger than I am any more but evil to the core. I am wearing my safety glasses. I think I have figured it out but I feel like the monkey and the football still. MajO, want some fun? Try the butt end insertion of the spring and shorty guide rod. I could be wrong but it is like the pistol feels violated. I feel like the proctologist doing a colonoscopy on a wild cat without anesthesia. I wish you luck, sir.
