Default S&w 24-3 3"

I wanted to share this with you guys, this has been a grail gun on my list since I first started getting into guns. This particular gun came from the original owner and included its box, papers, and tool kit. The previous owner was LEO and carried this on and off duty after buying it for a few years. This gun is not perfect and I didn't pay a perfect price for it - I really couldn't be happier. It is in 44 Special and is also my first .44 caliber handgun. I've had the belt hanging out for a little while now waiting on me to do something with it, and pieced together something Leo-esque for her to do the old owner proud.

Sunday is always my family day and I took my lovely girlfriend down to the farm for some target practice. Our only trouble was she shot it better than any handgun I currently own.....girls got expensive taste. I hope you fellas enjoy looking as much as I enjoy showing off

Very nice weapon and it's great to have someone go with you to shoot. We have a shooting grouop of 3 or 4 couples and some of the women are much better than the men. Lasers have noticeably less movement on the target when the gals are shooting.

Nice! I've been looking for a Model 696(Almost exactly like your 24,except SS) that I didn't have to sell my kids into slavery for for several years now.

It is always nice to have good company. When we first met she had more, and nicer, guns than I did. Bait her own hook, gut her own fish, and taught ME how to hunt. Hard to beat that. She used to have inconsistent groups out of her .308 until I realized she wasn't getting a cheek weld on the rifle, after lowering the scope on it she can out shoot me with a rifle. Still working on the hand gunning.

Hey Dave, is the 696 not an L frame vs the N frame this is? I think the L frame is the perfect median between carry and recoil myself. Looking at what these sell for on the current market I came in 35-45% under what they are selling for on GB. I just couldn't pass it up. Sadly enough I had a shot at two right at the same time but chose this one because of the box and all of the fixings which seemed like a better investment to me, and it came out cheaper too after seeing what the other sold for.

Thanks, me too! After this I really don't know if I'll ever satisfy my taste for wheel guns.

For sure, I have to drive 20 miles to get to a good range. I wish I had a private range of my own.

The land is about 15 minutes from the house, just shy of 70 acres. The kicker is the rifle range I worked out right behind the next hill I don't use it nearly as much but can stretch out to about 400 yards, with a 30' berm from where that area was once stripped for gravel. Went straight through the woods with a bobcat for about a 10' swath.

Nice not having to wait or others to disturb you but you have to be careful who you take with you.
