![]() I think, once I master the .308 Win, I will upgrade to .338 Lapua Magnum. We'll see. |

![]() Have you kept the original stock or, maybe, upgraded to a Magpul PRS Stock? I'm hearing reports that some are getting lacerations from the upper check weld piece. A Magpul PRS stock is low on the upgrade priority for me, but if might have to move up a bit if that's going to be a problem. |

No injuries here, but, the original will be replaced with a Magpul. The original is just a big PITA.

I think now, the stock replacement will go up in priority. This, over replacing the hand guard. I can put on the mini picatiny rail on the bottom to attach the bipod and that will suffice for a while. We'll see later on if I need to replace the handguard. |

Magpul stock ordered, as well as the required "rifle length" buffer tube and the Harris 9-13" Swivel Bipod. Will shortly order the Timney 2 stage trigger and a couple of other upgrades. The scope will have to wait until next month. |

Update on my RPR.
I have the new HG installed, the upgraded Butt Stock (Magpul PRS3), and some other things. The new Timney 2-stage trigger will take an extra day because, much to my frustration, you have to canibalize the original factory trigger and put some parts from it into the new Timney trigger. ![]() Anyway, I'll keep y'all posted on the progress. I have an appt. for membership safety check at the JTAC ranch near my house on 07/17. They have some nice property there. We'll see. |

Cool beans… I thought all Timneys were drop in? That’s odd.

Apparently, no longer. https://timneytriggers.com/ruger-pre...stage-trigger/ Click on the little tab that says, "Instructions" (halfway down and to the right) and you'll see. But good news. I did get the trigger installed and it seems to dry fire well. I do hope the e-clamp I put in keeps hold. But I don't feel the "two stages" at all.... just one and it's very light. Almost 1911 style light. But that's OK. I like it. |
