My son Jake bought a CNC and here is the first project.
This is a magazine base pad that converts a 12 round P365 X mag to flush fit in a P365 X Macro grip. The 17 round X Macro mag pokes out the bottom of the grip creating print issues and the extra rounds add weight. The 17 rounder is great as a backup mag but inside the gun and holster I hated it. To me it reached the point of diminishing returns for a micro 9. The extra weight and poke out made me not want to carry it. It's a bit of a trade off I guess. This part can be found 3d printed with plastic but I wanted something better. This is his first try cutting it on the CNC and also the first go at anodizing. He's working on new lighter version with a feature in the bottom so you can use a finger to rip the mag out if it gets stuck. ![]() ![]() ![]() Original Mag
