Dan, here is my RIA GI Model with an arched mainspring housing with a landyard loop!! I like a 1911 as is. I am not a big fan of bobtailed 1911's but then again that is my preference.

Well modding the frame yourself would surely void the Rock's warranty ..right? Anybody know if Arnel or someone you there does dehorning jobs? Like Clark Custom's "Meltdown" job. That'd probably suit my needs. Went and coped another feel of a bobtailed kimber and it just didn't feel right. The first thing I think when I pick up a 1911 is..pointability. The bobtail makes me take an extra second to make sure of my grip
