My LGS says this will pass in a couple months.

When he gets some in please give me a holler down here in Dayton. I have some, but I'm in conserve mode.

Default Believable?

Believeable? I think so. You know there's a major shortage when you can't find .22 ammo!

I don't know, but all of this is scary stuff. I've been watching gunbot.net lately and it's not uncommon for people to pay .30 to .50 a round for 22LR ammo. That's freaking insane!!

I only shoot .40 and .45 these days, and I have no problems finding either if I'm willing to pay what I've come to call "the panic premium." The cheapest .45 I can routinely get my hands on is PMC Bronze at $.50 per round.

I was 120 miles north on business and found a full shelf of Tula .45s at $19.99 a box. I loaded up as best I could.

In this area, .22lr, .223, and particularly 9mm, are like gold. My LGS limits 9mm to one box per customer per day, when they have it.

Wow! .50 a round? WalMart has been out of 9mm and .45 caliber ammunition the last 10 times, I asked, until this morning. I got the last two boxes of Winchester White Box 45, 230 grain, hollowpoints, for 33.95 per box of 50. I counted myself lucky, as the smaller LGS's have nothing.

You know I have been lucky. The last two weeks we have been able to get anything we want except primers and 9mm. Been finding a little .22 even now..we are getting back to normal around here. You still can not get an AR for under 2K but other than that you can get just about any gun you would want. Prices are getting closer to normal but will never go down again I am afraid.

What about the prices for jellies and cruellers, those still through the box?
