I own both, 1911s and G17. I carry the 1911, better ergos for my roach hands. But, when the G43 comes out, I "might" rethink my options.

I do not own a Glock said Sam. I do not own one Sam I am.
I own a number of 1911's but my carry varies from a 1911 to normal EDC of P239 40 cal to Ruger 357 mag snubbie

I think you need to include all plastic pistols, not just Glocks. From what I've seen M&P's and others are Glock clones.
I own (was my daughter's, rest in peace) but do not carry a Glock.
