Same here with the Hoppes No.9 of cleaning and FP10 for lube. I use this method because it works.

I've considered trying out the mobil 1 but just can't bring myself to do it.

I read somewhere that 1911's will run on Criso. A little bird told me uses Fluffo. I've searched Wal Mart and can't find Fluffo. Is this some secret lube?

I use burnt motor oil!
Just joking! I use FP-10 for light lube, Wilson Combat Ultima Lube II Universal for slides on a broke in gun, and G-96 as a CLP.
They've worked well so far

Wilson ultimalube universal onanything that slides..it stays put and doesn't get on clothes. Hoppes oil on anything that rotates. Shooters choice for the bore. Breakfree CLP for the rest

Back in the summer, I posted a thread about trying out Frog Lube. I followed the directions for applying it and, like MajO, I was surprised how much carbon/crud came off the pistol just from the application.

I still use it on 1 govt. 10mm, 1 govt. .45, 1 govt. 9x23, 1 commander .45, and one CCO 9x23.

I am still happy with it's performance. I am well aware of the people that chastise anyone that doesn't use what they do and claim that Frog Lube is just a gimmick......whatever.

If the lube you are using is doing it's job by keeping the friction of moving parts to a minimum, doesn't cause your firearm to rust on you, and gets your pistol clean when you tear it down for a bath, then you are in fine shape. I see nothing wrong with trying out new stuff, if you want, as long as it doesn't cause you to start having a negative response from your pistol.

On my shotguns, lever rifle, AR, wife's M&P, and .22 semi-auto's, I use FP-10 for cleaning and lube. Works fine on them.

Good thread topic .

I use slide glide on my p226 for lube and militec1 for my valor. Hoppes #9 to clean them both. Used to use rem oil on the sig but had some issues with slide not locking back after last round. They went away when I switched to slide glide.
