Question: I had a pair of mesquite grips (not from you, no aspersions intended). They cracked rather badly under P+ loads.

Have you seen this in mesquite in general? If not, I'd love to have another set.

actually no i haven't, mesquite is usually a very Hard wood, now mesquite burl can be a little softer than regular mesquite but it's still pretty hard too.
