interesting, now I am not a machinist or anything but a meatal 3d printer that costs 500k-1 million dollars seems like a lot to produce a gun.

I like the idea though, what was the cost to make the gun? Machines aside just the materials???

The same thing was said when CNC (computer numerical control) was first introduced and see where CNC is at now ...

It is a "Proof of Concept."

Prototypes are always expensive.

The printer is high now, but not too long ago the 3D printers that made plastic parts were way out of reach for the average person. Now look at them...you can order one from Walmart for 150 bucks!

Yep i get that it’s evolution of mfg and its super cool but i will not get on board vs a high end cnc 1911. Just not there. Even if they get this to say 4k it’s still not nearly as refined or nice as a EB or like. Will see in 5-10 years where this might go. A plastic 3d printer has to be a completely different animal as a metal version. I would bet even in another 10 years you won’t see this machine for a grand at a Walmart.

this was done a while back I wonder if they have produced anything else gun related? I wish they would do a rifle like a AR or something. I would like to see that.
