thoughts?

I carry this Rob Patton custom 5.5" most days and swap it out for the 10.5" Bagwell often enough.

I have called folders "broken knives" for years, though I like them. Got one here on Karma that is my EDC. Always had a Marine bayonet down my back, or in the equivalent of a shoulder holster. Nowadays I always carry the folder, and two pistols. Next year I'll take your edged weapons class with my sons. Until then I'm pretty gun dependent. That or I'll send my sons to your class and buy a third pistol, I'm gettin' too damn old for fighting.

The K's are quite nasty indeed. Think tile knives, a slash is led by the point to penetrate, then the continued slash just opens em up until the blade is swung past it's target and exits flesh.

This one is the better K,

http://www.knifecenter.com/item/TG51...-handles-51048

I wouldn't carry a liner lock K as the spine of the blade is used with force at times, and the liner could give, where the one I linked is a lockback and won't have that issue.

I've got one of Tarani's K's, but not this one, but this one is just like mine, and it's less money with S30v steel which is high grade stainless.

Just a thought joe

There are not many knives I wouldn't consider carrying, but for some reason the karambit seems like an accident waiting to happen to me.

I can't carry anything that is classified as a "weapon" to work, so I have my common pocket knife (which I'm going to have to get a new one--just broke the tip off my Kershaw Tanto Blur). But until recently I always had either the Perrin Street Bowie or my Hen&Rooster.

Now I'm pretty much always carrying the Laredo Bowie as my SD knife. I hope we can get time next weekend to go through drills for me to practice with the long blades.
