Default Anyone shoot the Sig 938 yet?

Just asking... my LGS is selling them for 638.00. Interesting firearm... just a little larger than the 238 but with 9mm. If you have shot one... please let us know here?
Thanks,
Da

I haven't shot one, but I held one briefly at Cabelas. It definitely felt like a 238. I won't consider getting one till next year, after reliability has become more proven and the cost comes down.

I was surprised to see the external extractor.

Same. Looks good on paper but far too many seem to have reliability problems. I'm sure they'll get it worked out but I wouldn't buy one and certainly wouldn't carry one until they get some of these apparent issues hammered out.

I was at a Gun Show this morning when a 938 Extreme jumped into my collection. I took it home for field strip, clean and lube.

Left early for work so I could confirm that I really do like the little pistol. 160 rounds fired. 1 FTE. Federal & Winchester FMJ and Win Ranger +P JHP LE 124g all fed without problem.

So, I learned there's a lot more difference in +P 9mm than .45. Noticeably snappier, but still comfortable.

I traded my P238 in on one 10.6.12. First time shooting it I only had the 6 round mag that came with it so I spent more time loading it than shooting it. I was shooting low at 21' and had a couple of failure to ejects. this was with WWB and Federal 115. I figure I was just not used to the sight picture yet with it.
I went out with it last night put a couple more mags through it , I was trying 124 hollow-points and I had a failure to feed on the last round, this happened twice the 2nd time after clearing the round from the chamber I saw something drop on the ground, it was the firing pin stop.
I called Sig after work today and the pistol is boxed up and ready to go back to Sig.
I wasn't totally happy with my 238 and now with less than 125 round through this 938 I am developing an attitude about Sig. we shall see.......
