oh jeez pig
Thanks! A little backstory on myself, 4 years ago I went to a gun shop after deciding I wanted a gun at home. I signed up for their class and shot three rounds through a revolver and watched some videos. I came out of that class with about as much knowledge as I had when I walked into it: NONE Afterwards, I started doing some research online on Florida Ch 790 laws and came across a Florida gun forum. After joining, an older woman on there took me under her wing and invited me to her home to teach me the basics. A week later, she took me for my first range trip where I shot her guns. A few weeks after that, I started working with a respected instructor from the forum and started taking advanced training. I am extremely blessed to have had some great people in the gun world work with me. I went from being scared to touch different guns to now building my own AR and being a blade snob. funny I always carry at least a fred perrin bowie and a gun where permitted. So what happened yesterday, is my way of paying it forward to other women. I've done several self-defense speeches with women's groups, including "A Girl and a Gun" stressing the importance of training and having different tools in your self defense tool bag. I just got a text from that lady's daughter in law asking if she could join us on Friday as well as she wants to become more comfortable with guns. The daughter in law also reached out to Panther Concealment to get a good holster for her Sig p238 after using my gear yesterday. That flimsy nylon is going away. :D |

You are rightfully proud. I like your story and I admire what you are doing for others who are where you were. It is in the grand tradition of gun sports and personal responsibility. Proud to know you and pleased that you are part of our family. Keep up the good work. :hail: Dennis

WTG Alli, that is something to be very proud of!
GREAT JOB! |
Good job Ali, great way to pay it forward. I'm sure those ladies will be forever grateful to you for sharing some of your time and expertise.
The important part is to make gun folks realize they need to spend $ on training, there's no other way around that. Even trainers constantly train with other trainers. Good job girl :) |
