I have been seeing R1s around here for $600ish. But I still would not want one after seeing Ruger's other new flagship product the SR9 with it's tinny pot metal controls. But then again, I don't like anybody's tupperware.

I may be seeing things but it looks like it has a Cobra mag.

70 series. Probably MIM and what looks suspiciously like a plastic mainspring housing (hard to tell).

Would like to know if it has a forged frame..... probably not.

I would guess that Ruger will want to leverage its expert casting process.
Probably uses MIM parts, but then again who doesn't in this price range?
I would be interested to know.

At a sub $600 street price, I would buy one. We know it is no Dan Wesson, but then it is priced at a lot lower pricepoint.

Investment cast. Not a shocker. Real Novak sights is a surprise.

Thank you for the video link oak1971.

I am going to buy one.
It looks like they have a 4lb trigger pull and can do 1.25-1.5 in groups at 25 yards-if I understood the video correctly.
