Forethought goes a long way. Sitting on 50 30rd P mags for the Tavor; 80 or more g17 mags, 30 hk91 mags. I haven't bought mags for over 4 years.

No different with ammo, sitting on dozens of cases of 223 [ one large ammo can of loose 223 has 8K rds in it ], 8 cases of 308, 25K in 9mm, 14K in 45acp, 15K in 22lr etc.

Forethought, act, nor react and be found lacking when panic sets in.

I got back into shooting right about the same time as Sandy Hook. I learned my lesson and have put back a decent amount of my necessary rounds over the past three years. Nothing like Robin (Hood) Brown ... but enough for my modest needs.

I don't panic buy but if I have a little extra money laying around for the right price I may pick up some extras. For example I have an upper that is more of a slow build and I just got the barrel last week. I wasn't planning on buying the BCG and CH that I need to finish it but I had some extra money and decided the PSA Premium BCG at $89.99 with free shipping was a good deal that may not be back again for a while.

The PSA mags are back in stock and still at $6.99. No gouging at PSA!

I have not been one for panic buying or hoarding. I keep way more defense
ammo on hand than I do target ammo. Just hope projectiles will be available
for reloading the handguns, and SOME of my rifles. Good luck to us all!

For the most part, I have been stocked up on ammunition. Recently, I have been stocking up on reloading components.

even though I qualified expert with the M 16 three times, I considered it a poodle shooter, as I carried the bolt rifle. HOWEVER, to stick a thumb in the antigun weenies eye, I'm buying a Ruger 556 this weekend as a fathers day gift to me...as it's doubtful anyone else will get me a gift

Nice rifle! If they try to confiscate it just strip the lower to a bare frame and throw it on the table!
