My DW Panther has an external extractor, but it was done right. Not like the Mimber botched attempt.
I've actually had better luck with external extractors on 1911's that with internal. The one exception being my Mimber 22 slide... Anyhow, I now come to find out that I didn't actually buy a Nightmare. It is a "Fastback" but it's not on their web site. The difference being that the Fastback has all Nitron coated stainless hardware (except the hammer,) solid trigger instead of skeletenized, and double diamond rosewood grips instead of G10.

Looks just like a Kimber Super Carry HD... Round butt frame, not bobbed!

I saw the Nightmare last year as it was being introduced and was attracted to it. I looked it over and started to do some research (never had a 1911 before) and ended up buying a DW Guardian.
