Joe, Brownells used to have dovetail blanks you could tap in spot weld then file and stone to shape, don't know if they still do though.

I know someone who is fixin' to practice Quick Kill drills

I need to take Brownie's class, long as we didn't yell at each other too much....

May be silly idea but why not buy a new slide that has t been notched yet?

Hmmmmm.....real blanks....but front sight is staked.
Talked to a friend last night, says steel epoxy will hold. I about fell over, good thing I wasn't imbibing. Epoxy? On a 1911 slide? World is changing, but I do not think "epoxy changing".
