I just watched an interview with the owner. There was an armed robbery in which the cashier refused to comply, and the robber grabbed some money from the tip jar and fled. Afterwards, a customer came up and told the cashier that he had a concealed weapon and was watching the situation, and was ready to intervene if things got ugly. The restaurant decided that it was a good idea to encourage customers to carry. You get a 25% discount for showing your carry permit. You don't need to show your gun, just your carry permit. Some of the usual nincompoops are complaining about it on Twitter and saying they won't eat there anymore, but business has been booming. They say they are afraid they will be overwhelmed with all the new business! Quote:
