I use G96 to clean then I use something else to lube it. It is just gun oil that comes in the cleaning kits you buy at walmart.

I use Hoppes 9 for pre cleaning and Break Free CLP for Cleaning, Lubricating and protection.

I use Mobile 1 on the company's bar code printers.

I'm using FP-10. It seems to work better than the cheap stuff at Walmart.

Don't you just love the way G96 works? It also smells good! I find it is a very good carbon and metal fouling remover. Also a very light lube as well!

I do love it. I use it a lot. I need to buy some more of it. I spray it on wood stocks too and rub it in with my hands. It cleans them up real good imo.

ATF, Lubriplate SFL-0 & FP-10.

SFL-0 is great on slides.

Why? Well.. because thats the way I was taught. I'm open to correction and new learning. So.... it's YOUR turn.
I was tought the same thing and really like CLP....its good stuff, can not go wrong with #9 either. If I get something I can deal with that stuff I will great out the EEZOX if I have too. Kinda spendy and smells really bad but works really well.
