They are in the midst of a call out of their own. My only fear is that they will spark a rally from others.
Besides the Alabama fiasco is creating a situation where the seat goes D or the the seat is occupied by a toxic candidate that will be a lightning rod for criticism against the R party on the whole. That kind of rally is one that could make purple center voters want to not tell neighbors they supported them. It makes the conservatives look like cult leaders. Who knows maybe they are.
