Nice! I like the slab sides. Gun looks great.
I bet you'd see your groups tighten up quite a lot by using match grade .22 ammo. The bulk box stuff like the Winchester 333 box you have in the pic (also other Win bulk and Federal bulk, CCI, et all) just isn't loaded very precisely. Velocities vary too much, the bullets are seated at off angles sometimes, the jackets aren't very even, etc. Yeah, the match stuff costs more -- it's still cheap compared to centerfire usually -- but the consistency will go way up. |
