I spent the afternoon ripping out the cheapo shelves I had on my bench top and installing some much nicer shelves on the wall.
It's amazing what a large, bright, clean bench top can do for both your productivity and your mood. Then I installed Lee's mounting plate and some adapters for my presses. Then I put together a new Uniflow powder measure and a large micrometer attachment for it. My plan is to use a Lee Breechlock Challenger press with a Uniflow adapter on it to load all my rifle bullets in batch mode from now on. I'll let you know how it goes when I get back to rifle reloading in a while. Then I loaded up 200 rounds of .45 230gr JHP and 200 rounds of 9mm 124gr JHP. Now to shoot some of that stuff!

Ok, ok... Here is a pic. Only had a minute and should have taken many more to bore you with, but we'll have to be happy with this for the moment.
![]() That's a Lee Classic Turret press on the right, my main press for pistol rounds. I can do a couple hundred rounds an hour when I get going with it. I happened to be reloading 9mm last night. I have another turret ring with its own powder measure set up for .45. Usually the only tweaks I need to do when switching are fiddle with seating depth if I've changed from one .45 bullet to another, and verify or modify the powder volume. You can't see it in this pic, but there are three shelves. The top one has my other presses and a couple of other things that I don't need to have to hand all the time. Tonight I will try to set up the Breechlock Challenger press with the Uniflow powder measure. I have high hopes for this combo. Hand measuring powder for .308 rounds takes too much time. I'm hoping the Uniflow can handle relatively large amounts of powder. If I get that done, I'll take another couple pics. Anybody using a Uniflow with Lee equipment? I bought an aluminum adapter that screws in to the bottom of the Uniflow and press fits with into the powder through die on the Lee. It was just a couple bucks on Ebay and looks like it will speed things up in a big way. BTW, the bench shares a corner in my woodworking shop, so while I have lots of tools around, I really don't have all that much room. I have big tools!

If you shoot a lot, it sure is cheaper. And I find it relaxing. Gets me away from the noise.
Others, of course, find it boring. YMMV Tom
