full size, Mesquite burl. with a satin oil finish and plenty of cracks like the customer wanted.

Interesting looking grips. Almost look like cork.

Don't the cracks and crevices weaken the integrity of the grips?

thanks, normally the cracks and crevices would weaken the grips but I filled them all with 1500 psi clear epoxy leaving just enough visible cracks to suit the customers taste.

What happened to that burl slab you posted? I'd like to get a set from that. Problem is I sill like the rattlesnake you sold me, so I have to buy another 1911 to put them on!

I still have it, along with 3 other mesquite burl caps, i'll do the drawing for the grip giveaway next week so there's a chance you might win.
