full size, two tone Amboyna burl. ( it had started to rain which is why there are water drops on the grips.)

Really nice, Amboyna looks a lot like Afzelia. Are they somehow related?

I always thought they were related but I wasn't certain so I looked it up and the only thing I could find was that they are both members of the family Leguminosae but they are from separate genus, ( whatever that means ) I know they're both from South East Asia.

a friend from a woodworking forum saw my post about the autism charity match and donated two desert ironwood blanks so I was able to send these two sets to the match as well.
