really? I was using my colt magazines when I shot the Rugers, they seemed like a standard 1911 to me.

A friend of mine has the Ruger. He asked me about mags and I showed him my Tripp Cobras. He bought some and now he's a "mag snob".

My FIL has a ruger 1911 right when they came out and the mags were not user freindly with any other gun. I could not use the ruger in his kimber or vise versa. Might have been changed by now......
