I don't get rid of books. There are however places that sell remainder books by the pound, if you don't care about the subject matter.

Goodwill here in Miami sells hard covers for $1 each. Last couple garage sales I had we sold a few books for along that price.

I have hundreds of books upstairs in my bonus room. I would be happy to donate them to someone who would value them. Most are paperbacks (suspense, mystery and science fiction) and there are probably a hundred or so hardbacks too, mostly science fiction.
My wife would think you a hero if you would take them off my hands. I live in Gainesville, FL and often go to Charlotte. There may be a way to exchange them without having to pay shipping. PM me if you're interested and want more information.
