The large white building across the water is the Yale rowing team boat house. Here's another photo of mine that I kinda like. This is a photo of where the first 9 rounds fired from the 40 S&W barrel of my new (to me) PM-7 10. impacted on the 7" target at 30 feet. I was firing seated with a wooden V notch front rest only. What a joy it was to fire that very first round and see it hit the bullseye! The flyer was a 45ACP round fired from my Valor at another target that was close by on the pallet I was using as a target frame. I love these Dan Wesson 1911's! It's true I have some work to do to learn to handle the 45 accurately - but I'm up to the task. Firing these guns is a pleasure! ![]() |

Welcome Conklin. You've got a lot of irons in the fire! I'm glad to see there is another banjo man in here. I've got one but I can't play it worth a darn.
That boat that you have on the trailer, did you build it or cane the seats? I almost tackled building a cedar strip canoe but I got side tracked. Nice pistols and holsters too!

No - I didn't build the guideboat. I bought it just like you see it up in Burlington VT. It's made of Kevlar with native cherry trim and soft maple oars - all crafted in a little shop near Lake Champlain. It's a beautiful boat to row - light as a feather and very responsive. |
