"Newspeak" In case you aren't familiar with the concept introduced in 1984, look it up.

Limit thought by limiting speech. Prepare people for your agenda by limiting the ability to express opposing ideas (AKA Political Correctness). And then when your agenda is exposed to be a failure, change the meaning of words in order to revalidate your agenda. Newspeak words often have the opposite meaning of how they were previously used.

Fort Hood was "workplace violence" (no, it was a terrorist attack)
Benghazi was a "spontaneous demonstration" (no it was a terrorist attack)
People coming across the border illegally are "Undocumented" (no, they are illegal aliens)
And so forth and so on...

Since the administration has insisted that Islam is a religion of peace, something that flatly contradicts that must be explained away by changing the definition of "Islamic."

They can't launch attack on Al Qaeda because the official line is that Al Qaeda is dead. So they launch attacks on "Khorasan" (which is Al Qaeda)
