Took the Beast (that is what I'm calling it after today ) out this morning to the local Sheriff's range. The recoil is not bad considering but, it pushes straight back. If the stock is not in the "pocket", you WILL know it! My buddy shot two rounds and had enough, lol. Me? Well, either I'm a badass or dumbass and shot roughly 80rds.
Anyways, back to the range report. Once I got the scope zeroed for the cheap ZQ1 Walmart ammo, it was on like Donkey Kong. I was only shooting at 50 yards but, we had a 2 o'clock 20+ crosswind. Was getting a 1.25" group from a surplus rifle with non match ammo. Not too shabby considering the rifle is made to shoot 3-4"s at 200yds. I will try some match ammo and see what it does at 100yds (my preferred zero). I'm going to go find that ice pack now so, more to come next trip. PS: sorry, no pics. I brought the camera but, battery was dead. D'oh!
