Default Bridgeport Shooting with Steve CT

Hi all,
At CT's suggestion, I was able to get away from the Mission for a little while today to go shooting, then lunch. drove all the way down from Middletown this morning, went graciously on the "grand tour" of the Mission, and listened patiently while I droned on about the work of the Mission, and the affect it has on the lives of men and women in crisis. And didn't fall asleep!!! So... there's a winning day right there. But it gets better!

I drove us over to Bridgeport Shooting Range for a couple of hours of shooting. He brought his DW 357, his DW PM7 and a SW model 59.

I brought my 3" Springer loaded, the SIG GSR, my DW CCO, a Colt 380, a Taurus 608 8 shot .357 and an old Ruger P85. We had a great time swapping stories and pistols, shooting different kinds of ammo and yes... I took a couple pictures!

Afterwards, it was off to the Windmill Restaurant in Stratford for hotdogs (mustard, relish, raw onions and bacon.... along with onion rings)... and a couple sodas/waters. I sent him on his way home about a half hour ago, and Im ready to take a nap! Nice guy, but then... all us Connecticut Cotepers seem to be!

Da

When I entered the Mission field, I was told "you need to be able to Preach, Pray or Die at a moment's notice." I've accomplished two out of three! My sermon isn't due until SUNDAY! Today's only Wednesday Doc!

I'm assuming Grace does not visit this Forum, because the Onion Ring thing was supposed to be on the "down low", and what happens at The Windmill, Stays at the Windmill (I got briefed on the rules).

The Pointman is actually a PM-1S, I thought it was a PM7 at first too, but it is a much less common item, and my favorite pistol.

It was a great day, and although I loved the shooting, the chance to meet a new friend was even better.

Unfortunately I now have some .357 ammunition that needs to get turned into brass for when I start reloading again. Oh, well, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and shoot it off as quick as I can.

Soon. Stopped by hiller sports (old forest and field and shooting sports ltd) the ranges are going in as we speak. Evan the new owner is shooting for mid may for opening the ranges. super nice guy. Small archery, pistol range and rifle range.

700k for the two firearms bays.

we will go in and shoot quite a bit. He has a few DW already.

I think that getting a good indoor range up and running must be a huge undertaking. Hoffman's (and I'm NOT a fan) has been down for months at a time with continuing problems, not the least of which was the ND in the store from one of the rental guns by one of their RSO's. Forest and Field had a pretty crappy reputation, hopefully the new people are successful
