Default Range Report + 14 April

Yesterday three of our gang went to the range. It was BUG day for me and I shot a full box of .380 RN through my Sig P238 with zero malfunctions and reasonable groups at 10 yards. Then I ran a full magazine of Hornady CD rounds through with the same results. About a 4 " wide group at 10 yards. I was very pleased with this performance.

I've been working on a Winchester Mod 94 in 30-30, restoring it back to original configuration. The previous owner had added a funky scope and rubber recoil pad. I wanted it to be configured the way it came in the box. We all took turns firing it at the range and at the cookout that evening realized it was the first time for all of us shooting that type weapon. So we took a pic. I was very pleased with the gun's performance and hope to hunt with it this fall in tight areas.

My Dad had a Model 94 .30-30 that he got from my Grampa when he was about 16. He hunted with it all his life and each of us boys used it on our first hunts, before getting our own. After he died, we've never been able to find it - tore that house apart, couldn't find it anywhere.

Looks like a great time with good friends. Nothing better.
