Default Practice at the GUNSLINGERS

Well howdy y'all
Today on Sunday, we had our monthly practice session. With the Florida State Championships coming up in Jan 2013, we decided to take a practice session.
Well, Cowboy shooters are no different than other shooters, we can never leave well enough alone. In trying to improve on our times, Dave, Jack and my self changed hammers on our guns. That is to say that Jack, one of the best cowboy gunsmiths around (the country) did the work. Dave and I watched.......
I had the hammers changed to shorter, fatter, hammers on 3 of my Ruger guns (2 of them birds heads in 45 ACP and one non birds head in 357/38.
Dave changed his Hammers and also had them Short stroked.
When you make a change like that, practice is a must, because your muscle memory is still looking for a taller longer , thinner hammer and you have to re-train your muscles.
I also had some chamber problems shooting the light load in my 45ACP, which we will fix during the week with a little reaming of the cylinder and a little change in load.
During one of my sessions, I had the cylinder lock up, I put the gun down and finished with another pistol......you can not do this during a match!

TO VIEW VIDEO'S JUST CLICK ON THEM AND GO TO THE SECTION IN PHOTO-BUCKET.....YOOU CAN GO FULL SCREEN BY CLICKING IN THE LOWERE RIGHT HAND CORNER .
